Bridge Documentation

This bridge is one of a group of bridges built ca. 1929 over Hogan's Creek noted for their extensive ornamentation and all built as part of the Hogan's Creek Improvement Project. The centerpiece of this group of bridges is the Main Street Bridge. Visit that bridge's page for an overview of these bridges, historic bridge inventory data, and a discussion of their significance.

This bridge was originally used for vehicular traffic, as part of Julia Street. Today, this section of Julia Street no longer exists and the bridge is for pedestrian use only. Its considerable width is testimony to its vehicular past.
