This was the first historic metal truss bridge in the county to be rehabilitated by the county, beginning an unusually excellent commitment by the county to preserve a large quantity of historic metal truss bridges.
This bridge's most unusual visual detail is the wide v-lacing composing the built-up sway bracing beams.
Diagonal members have been added alongside the originals, and the flooring system is replaced on this bridge, as are the railings. Abutments were originally stone but are today concrete. Most alterations date back to the 1990 rehabilitation.
