This bridge is one of several steel stringer bridges in Marquette County that feature solid concrete railing with inset rectangular panels. While not particularly significant on an individual level, these bridges appear to be county-designed bridges since they do not follow any of the known standard designs provided by the Michigan State Highway Department. As such, these bridges appear to show Marquette County's approach to county bridge design in the first half of the 20th Century. Modern Armco guardrails have been added to the bridge.
