Learn about Michigan's Unique Concrete Camelback Bridges

This bridge is a hidden treasure that today rewards only those who stray off the highway and onto this former US-41 alignment that today serves snowmobile and off road vehicles. The bridge is an outstanding example of a concrete camelback bridge in Michigan. Aside from its missing plaques, the bridge appears to be unaltered. There is some spalling on the bridge, but otherwise, the bridge appears to be in good condition. The Baraga County Historical Museum has a number of historical photos of the bridge from when the bridge still was the main route through this area.
