Lattice guardrail stringer bridges are generally a rare find on a statewide scale, but in Huron County they appear frequently, both on public roads, and also as private drives, all crossing the numerous small creeks and large drains that are present in the county. Representing all of these bridges on the website would have been redundant and time-consuming. As a result, a few of the public road examples of these bridges were selected for website inclusion to represent this unusually large group of bridges in Huron County as a whole.

The Pobanz Road Bridge is in excellent structural condition and represents the original design of the Huron County lattice railing stringer bridges well. This bridge is a ways down the road from the Riskey Road Bridge, and is essentially identical and was built in the same year. However, its deck, for unknown reasons, has not deteriorated. perhaps that is why their is a difference of 62 tons between their weight limits. The weight limit on this Pobanz Road Bridge suggests the remaining potential of the superstructure of these stringer bridges. The low weight limit on Riskey Road is more likely due to the poor deck condition.
