Bridge Documentation

This bridge no longer exists!

Bridge Status: This heritage bridge has been demolished and replaced!

Featuring only a single vertical member (providing for two panels) this tiny bridge may in fact be the shortest concrete bowstring arch bridge in Ontario, if not all of Canada! Typically, such an elaborate design of bridge would not be utilized for short spans like this, instead more simple bridge types like concrete girders and t-beam bridges might have been expected.

This bridge should be considered to have heritage value because of its small size. Not only is it unique, it helps represent the full range of span sizes and features for which this bridge type was constructed.
