North Elevation

No matter where I go to try to shoot this bridge, there is always something in the way, whether it's trees, markers or as in this case, street lights. Still, this is a beautiful bridge, no matter what's in the way or where you view it from. This viewpoint is from the river walk, right in front of the Dubuque Star Brewery and close to the shot tower.

The river flows northwest to southeast at this location. It appears that at some time, the floodwaters were high enough to reach the bridge because there is a great deal of debris lodged in the undercarriage of the bridge.
