Hert Bridge Before Restoration
The bridge is known as the Alvin T. Hert Memorial Bridge. The following nine photos show the damaged bridge when it was vandalized in 2006. However, the bridge has been recently restored (Dec 2008) to its original condition. One can see the newly restored bridge in the second set of photos.

Thunder Over Louisville
The Second Street Bridge is home to what is claimed to be the largest fireworks show in the world: Thunder Over Louisville. Each year for Thunder, the Second Street Bridge is closed down and rigged with pyrotechnics for the fireworks display. One could say that the bridge is a survivor--it gets blown up each year and yet remains unscathed.

Overview
If one is going west (or north) on Old Taylorsville Road one will find this old abandoned stone arch bridge about 75-100 yards up the road from the Chenoweth Run Bridge (See Chenoweth Run Bridge and pics), which is also an old stone arch bridge. The bridge is directly across the street from a water treatment/sewage facility. Perhaps, and it is very likely, that this was the bridge replaced by the old (newer) Taylorsville Road bridge. Anyone having more information and details about this bridge please feel free to leave your comments.

Overview
The Old River Road Bridge is so old that its completion date is uncertain. However one can know for certain that is older than 1935! The new bridge, which is directly to the left of the old bridge if one is traveling west on River Road, was built as a replacement bridge in 1935. Anyone having more information and details about this bridge are welcome to leave comments.
