An ore boat navigates a narrow stretch of the Cuyahoga River
"It's a tight squeeze around the point of Whiskey Island (foreground) for an ore boat working its way into the old river bed. The lift bridge under which the boat is passing is the B. and O. railroad trestle, and the open swing bridge ahead of it is the inadequate Willow Ave. span. At the left is the joint New York Central-Pennsylvania Railroads bridge, beside which the [city planning] commission would like to place a new highway lift bridge. The road stretching across the background is the West Shoreway." --photo caption as published in the Cleveland Press, Oct. 27, 1955.
