This bridge is a swing bridge that no longer operates for boats. As a result, some machinery and control equipment has been lost. However, many gears, and other elements of this bridge's movable past remain intact and
unaltered. The truss superstructure of the main span retains good historic integrity as does the haunched concrete t-beam approach span, which retains its concrete balustrade railing.
