This is a closed spandrel deck arch bridge that appears traditionally composed. The bridge does not display the cantilevered and/or ribbed design of other Wayne County arch bridges. The bridge is of interest however because Wayne County Road Commission is listed as the contractor, which implies that construction of this bridge was an in-house project, and an outside contractor was not used. This is unusual, and it demonstrates how Wayne County Road Commission was more innovative and resourceful than other counties in Michigan.

The original railings on this bridge have been replaced with solid concrete barriers.
