This is a late example of a simple concrete t-beam bridge. It was built in 1961, at a time when pre-stressed box beams were starting to be used instead of concrete t-beams and steel stringer bridges. Although on a county road, it is located alongside I-94 and it appears to have been built by the Michigan State Highway Department as part of I-94 related construction. This is supported by the plaque which lists I-94 as part of the bridge number code, and also the fact that it was built jointly by the state and federal government as indicated on the plaque.
