Bridge Documentation

This ca. 1870s bridge is a rare surviving example of a bowstring truss bridge and it was preserved for pedestrians in its original location. The island once was once home to industries that are no longer present. The bridge was abandoned for years and eventually the bridge was rehabilitated for pedestrian use and the island turned into a park.
