This bridge with its extreme skew has a main truss span plus a single girder line on only one side of the bridge at each end, to accommodate the skew. The bridge is noteworthy as an example of an extremely unusual skewed bridge.
Due to the skew, a traditional span count is even a little confusing. Perhaps one might think of the bridge as having one truss span, plus half of a girder span at each end (for a total of one girder span) plus two (non-original) pre-stressed concrete spans. It is not known what the box beam spans replaced.
This bridge crosses a railroad line that remains commonly known as the Delaware and Hudson line today, but is actually jointly owned by Canadian Pacific and Norfolk Southern.
