Bridge Documentation

This bridge is one of two similar bridges in Mt. Vernon. The bridge is a somewhat early example of a rivet-connected railroad truss bridge. It has attractive pedimented portal bracing.

The plaque on this bridge (fairly high up on the end post) was obscured by debris during site visit, and being a railroad bridge and not wanting to attract undue attention by climbing to clear it... this left the exact construction date in question... its the 1890s.
