Bridge Documentation

This Warren deck truss bridge was originally built in 1922 by the Abitibi Power and Paper Company. The bridge was closed in 2014 due to structural concerns by Resolute Forest Products (a successor of Abitibi Power and Paper Company). In 2016, the bridge, and the closed Resolute Paper Mill in Iroquois Falls, were acquired by Abitibi Riversedge as a redevelopment project. The bridge was reopened as a single-lane weight restricted toll bridge in July 2016. Payment is made by an machine that raises a gate to get through. The tolls are used for the preservation and maintenance of this heritage bridge. Length given is an extremely rough estimate.
