Information and Findings From Pennsylvania's Historic Bridge Inventory

Discussion of Bridge

The 1955, 2 span, 82'-long, steel stringer bridge is supported on concrete abutments. The railings are standard period design steel railings with concrete posts. The bridge has no innovative or distinguishing details and is an example of the most common 20th century bridge type in the state. Neither the bridge nor its setting/context are historically or technologically noteworthy. It is one of over 4341.

Discussion of Surrounding Area

The bridge carries a 2 lane road over a stream in setting of active farms, post-World War II residences, and scattered commercial development. The area does not appear to have potential as a rural historic district due to modern infill construction and the commercial development.
