This beautiful bridge has been closed to traffic but for now has been left in place and accessible to pedestrians. The bridge is a significant example of a pin-connected truss bridge because of its lightweight design, ornate cast iron portal knee braces, and uncommon use of v-lacing on the end posts and top chord. Although the construction date is unknown, it appears to be an older example from the 19th Century. Although hard to discern, the bridge appears to have Carnegie labels on the steel. The bridge appears to retain excellent historic integrity, and is among the most significant of the province's pin-connected truss bridges. The bridge should be given a high preservation priority.
