This very unusual bridge appears to have been altered and redesigned extensively to serve as a pedestrian bridge. It may be adapted from a former highway or railway bridge and was relocated here. Evidence of alteration includes the overhead bracing that is too low for vehicular or railway usage, while the heavy truss members are indicative of an original vehicular or railway usage. The gusset plates for the sway bracing have empty rivet holes indicating alteration from original design. The vertical end posts and portal bracing are not riveted indicating they are newer than the rest of the bridge. Beyond these clues observed at the bridge, the exact history of this bridge is unknown.
