This pony truss bridge was relocated to a park setting, and is a rare example of a hybrid pin and rivet connected truss documenting the development of truss bridge technology. The early 20th century was a transition from pin-connected truss connections to more rigid riveted connections. This bridge features both. Also, as a partially pin-connected truss, the use of a Warren truss configuration is extremely rare. Pin-connected Warren truss bridges are extremely rare. The builder of this bridge, the George E. King Bridge Company was noted for building bridges with unusual design details. This bridge was originally located on CR-434 over Brushy Creek.
