Bridge Documentation

This very long deck truss is also noted for its monumental Art Deco details, and is noted for its outstanding lack of alteration. 1,264 feet consists of deck truss, while 1,084 feet consists of the steel stringer approach spans. The continuous deck truss is configured as three spans forming each continuous truss unit.

Included in the photodocumentation is a concrete rigid-frame overpass at Foch Street which is technically a different bridge but part of the same project. Constructed a few years after this bridge in 1942, there is also an Art Deco retaining wall and stairs located a short distance east of this bridge at Summit Avenue.
