Bridge Documentation

This is a classic small scale riveted continuous through truss bridge which also features a fairly long series of approach spans. The three main continuous spans total 650 feet in length. The bridge's construction was delayed by World War II related steel shortages. In May 2017, some idiot in a dump truck thought a good way to cross this bridge would be to do so with the trailer in the up position. The truck took out several panels worth of portal and sway bracing at the east end of the through truss.
