Deck surface. It is very rough, it looks like wear caused by stones from a gravel road. Van Atta was likely a dirt road some years ago, and during that period is when this happened.
Severe deterioration to the edge of the deck. This is different from the wear shown in the previous photo.
Red Cedar River was flooded during this visit.
