Findlay OH? Broad St Bridge?
Entry created based on and image and text copied from: https://ohiomemory.org/digital/collection/p15005coll21/id/98... Note: I have significant doubts about the accuracy of the text. Vertical endpost bridges, with few exceptions and I don't believe this to be one, were made prior to 1876. Also, the photo has a date stamp of Feb 1959 and the armco supports that date vs. 1913. Thus, I believe the info below is wrong. This is an early 1870s WIBCo. product (1873?) and this photo was likely taken in Feb. of 1959. The rest of the history, in my opinion, is yet unknown. Also, If my statements are correct, the location is wrong.- Art S. Title 1913 Flood - Broad Street bridge Place Findlay (Ohio); Hancock County (Ohio) Description Although the date of February 1959 was printed on the right side of this photograph, the photograph was actually taken during the Flood of 1913 (also known as the 1913 Flood), according to an issue of "The Courier" published on October 12, 2006. Page A4 of that issue contained this photograph, as well as the following caption: "Findlay's 1913 [Blanchard River] floodwaters flow under the bridge over Broad Street north of Maple Grove Cemetery. This bridge was the fourth in that location. It was in place from 1889 to 1934, and included trolley tracks. It was replaced in July 1935 and again in 2000. This photo was taken by Fay Feller, father of Ruth Brown of Findlay." Creator Feller, Fay Date of Original March 1913
