Historic Bridges of Ohio

Ohio has one of the highest numbers of metal truss bridges for any one state in the country, and a wide variety of other bridge types as well. Demolition of bridges is frequent but preservation success stories are also fairly prevalent in the state as well, with most of the preservation rightly focused on the impressive and diverse collection of nationally significant rare and unique bridges, including the nation's most diverse collection of cast and wrought iron bridges.
