The UK is home to the most significant and best-preserved collection of historic bridges in the world. France is home to very long lattice girder bridges, many suspension bridges, and Paris is home to many cast iron and steel arch bridges. Bridges in many countries in Europe were destroyed in wartime, but remarkable examples managed to survive, or were rebuilt in-kind, such as in the cities of Vienna and Budapest. HistoricBridges.org is slowly adding bridges to the UK in 2019, so check back for updates.
