This is an uncommon example of a double-intersection Warren pony truss. Although compared to most other truss bridges in general this is an unusual bridge both in design and appearance, this style of truss was used repeatedly to some extent by the railroads, including for use as highway over railroad overpasses. This bridge was built to carry a railroad line that is long gone today. This bridge has been fenced off and abandoned. It would be nice to see it rehabilitated for reuse by pedestrians, either in this location or in a new one.
