Bridge Documentation

This bridge is a rare surviving example of a bridge documented as having been built by the Corbet Foundry and Machine Company of Owen Sound, Ontario. The bridge has latticed vertical members that also serve as outriggers. The latticed design distinguishes this bridge from the other riveted pony truss bridges in this region, which generally use v-lacing or battens on outriggers.

This bridge is also noted for its substantial skew.

Visit the Snake Creek Bridge for further discussion of Corbet.
