Design Details: The bridge features a 28-foot high snake head at the northern approach and a 20-foot high tail that is equipped with a 300-pound fiberglass rattle at the southern approach. Sensors along the bridge trigger the rattle to make noise. The circular tube-steel framing and expanded metal fencing along its entire length is painted with diamond shapes similar to those found on a diamondback rattlesnake.
