Relics / Bridge Railings
Less than a mile from where the old bridge stood this home owner has a nice collection of the original bridge railings from the Lake Hamilton Bridge. I don't know how he came by them but they started appearing here when the bridge was being demolished in the 90s. As I recall he had a sign up offering to sell sections for $100 a shot back then, don't think he had many takers. He has arranged them as a fence around his property now.

Replacement Spans
There were (are) two Lake Hamilton bridges and an earthen causeway leading into Hot Springs. The open spandrel arch bridge was in the middle which would be in the location of the background span in this photo. The original foreground span was a concrete stringer with different and less ornate railings, if memory serves that is.
