Barrel Shot

I have known of this bridge since the eighties. Back then you could drive down to it on the old gravel pit road. I tried to get back to it around 1998 when the bridge/photography bug bit and found the road had been gated and posted. In the 80's and 90's the rail line was still active. Now it is abandoned with the rails pulled up in places. The road to drive in by the gravel pit is still gated but I managed to walk about two miles down the old rail grade from where it crosses AR 301. The bridge crosses the Antoine river in Arkansas which is also the boundary line between Pike and Clark Counties.
