Browns Canyon Trestle in Occidental, 1900
The wooden Brown's Canyon Trestle was built in 1876, a half mile south of Occidental by the North Pacific Coast Railroad. At that time it was the highest of its kind in the US. 96,000 board feet of lumber was used to build it.
