The current routing of US27 can JUST be seen to the left of the creek

I wonder how many people drive up and down the new highway every single day never knowing that this old bridge is out here. You can only see it from the current routing of US 27 during the winter months. When the leaves are on, the foliage completely blocks it out.

Bonus bridge

I stumbled on this only a couple hundred feet from the big concrete bridge having completely missed it on my original trip. This looks to be MUCH older (I'm guessing civil war era). It is also lower than the grade of the old US 27 which is represented by the top of the hill in this photo. All that's left are these two abutments.
