Overview
This bridge is unusual in the fact that the truss spans of the bridge are built by two different construction firms.

Note that the builder's plaque on this truss section is different from the other truss section. The other truss section's plaque says that its half was built by Lafayette Bridge Co. This section's plaque names a different builder. Unfortunately, the builder's plaque for this truss was difficult to read.

Mother and Daughter Bridges
This is quite a neat photo. One can note three things about this photo which are quite rare in the life of a bridge. 1. The new bridge (right center) can be seen with the old bridge (background). 2. The old bridge is not demolished, but is waiting to be taken to a new location and reused. 3. The old bridge's support abutments remain in place (foreground and left center).
