another West side view
Notice the higher grade on the Eastbound track. Erie added West bound track around 1916 and just East of here the grade was cut at a different height to ease grade profile. Further West grade is much more pronounced, sometimes cut is 20 feet or more below Eastbound track until it rejoins same elevation of other former track near Akron, Indiana.

Looking down at former track bed of Westbound main
At least a 20 foot or more cut the Erie Railroad made when constructing the Westbound main around 1916. It's a long way down there, and I wouldn't want to fall off this bridge. Must have been a sight back in the day before track was removed and brush grew up.

bridge is long removed, filled in, and high brush keeps me from going down to take a better look. It looks like it was used as a dumping ground on East side. Cut is very deep for old track with steep sides, so thus nothing to really see here unfortunatly
