Carries former Penn RR track over Spring Creek
Design: beam/stringer/wood
Design Details: This heavy wood trestle lies on an abandoned stretch of a Pennsylvania Railroad line. Creosote-soaked logs driven into the earth provide the main support for the trestle. Heavy timbers bolted to the logs provide the necessary cross-bracing. Timber floor beams carry a timber deck in turn would have supported the track. The trestle is approached on both sides by a steep embankment.
