Interesting Pier Blocks
The wooden piles were not driven into the ground, like on a typical wooden pile trestle. Instead, they rest on narrow concrete blocks, almost like the concrete footing blocks seen on older DPG bridges that have steel towers.

Overview
The weather was pretty mild for a winter day. With the sound of the light breeze blowing through the trees, the occasional chirping of cardinals and other birds, and the steady trickling sounds of Beaver Creek running under the bridge, the whole area had a really peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
