wooden bridge which was the last surviving drawbridge in Massachusetts can be found in http://www.eot.state.ma.us/acceleratedbridges/downloads/chatham_031810.pdf. New bridge to be completed in Oct 2016 and
the design features a wooden superstructure, including the road surface, railings and sidewalks. Its substructure will be comprised of concrete-filled steel pilings - the parts in contact with the water - and concrete pile caps that support the superstructure.
