This bridge is unique because it is the only one of its kind that has two wire vertical posts that are pin-connected and supported by a V-frame lattice vertical post located just above the railings. Since the replacement of the Dempsey Bridge in Cottonwood Co., MN in 1978, this bridge is the only one of its kind left with this feature. The next bridges that have this are the Murray Bridge in Humboldt Co., IA and the Canoe Creek Bridge in Winneshiek Co., IA (which has this connection with 4 wire posts.
