Carries Old Wagon Trail over Savenac Creek
Design: unknown
Design Details: Yellowstone Trail Bridge, 1919-1920. Contributing Structure: The Yellowstone Trail bridge was started in the fall of 1919 and completed in the spring and summer of 1920. It is a single-span, poured concrete bridge with approach wings. Just east of the bridge is the remains of a barb wire fence crossing the Yellowstone Trail. The fence uses concrete posts that match the shape and materials used in the bridge. The asphalt road surface on the bridge was covered with up to 5 inches of duff and grasses. It was removed in 1996 to protect the bridge from moisture and to reveal the original surface to visitors.
