Carries Munson Road over Goodbye Creek
Design: beam/stringer/wood
Design Details: Goodbye Creek Bridge is one of only two bridge in Crater Lake National Park. In the 1920's both bridges were built of heavy douglas fir members. After they collapsed in 1942, the bridges were not rebuilt until the 1950's. Those bridges were reconstructed of creosote protected glue-laminated beams and "square sawn" members bolted together, sometimes with metal plates. The trussed "bent" legs rest on concrete piles.

Carries US 97 over Spring Creek
Design: beam/tee
Design Details: Known locally as the "Romeo and Juliet" Bridge, the Spring Creek Bridge is unique in Oregon for its rusticated abutments and pedestrian promenades that extend underneath the deck to intersect with park trials on the upstream and downstream sides of the structure. the bridge is located in Collier State Park on a section of Highway 97 that was constructed during the 1940's and 1950's. The Spring Creek Bridge is a continuous, cast-in-place, reinforced concrete "T" Beam structure comprised of a 60' parabolic arc-shaped mainspan with an overall deck width of 30'. The roadway accommodates 2 lanes of travel and two 3'-6" sidewalks, The railing consists of painted steel picket fence-type balusters spanning between concrete posts. Stylistic influence is Art Moderne, as illustrated in the streamlined, concrete railing posts, and accentuated horizontality exhibited in the rusticated abutments.
