Carries Norfolk Southern main line over Conemaugh River
Design: arch/deck/stone
Design Details: This seven-arch stone railroad bridge was built by the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1887. It is notable for surviving the famous 1889 flood, but it subsequently formed the base of a dam of debris that accumulated behind it and caught fire on the evening of the flood, burning alive a number of flood survivors trapped in the wreckage.
