Old Peak Trestle
With the Broad River lower than normal, we could see the bridge abutements for the original Columbia & Greenville trestle between Alston and Peak. That trestle was bured when Sherman's trrops marched through the area in 1865. The new trestle was built in 1904 to replace it and has been since turned into a walking trail.
