Oblique view
The bridge is listed on the NRHP because of its design. It looks like the structure resembles a Thacher-hybrid design, however that bridge is (was) located over the Big Sioux north of Castlewood. It is unknown whether that bridge still exists or if it is abandoned in a manner similar to this bridge- closed off and abandoned making it really difficult to get to it even by foot. -JS

Since the road was barricaded to traffic, I could only take it from a distance, zooming in as far as possible. The bridge can also be seen from I-29, as it slices diagonally through the NE corner of the county.
