Concrete approach separation
This one on the north end, coupled with the one in the middle and one on the south end, amount to speed bumps. The joint in the middle is loose; as a result, it makes a loud noise when vehicles run over it.

It's easy to note the flow of the river, by seeing which side of the piers narrows to a point. This normally permits debris in the river to float around the piers, except when there is a lot of debris.
