A single 250-foot riveted Parker through truss with 20 steel I-beam approach spans. A relief structure on the north side of the main bridge comprises 15 steel I-beam spans identical to those used on the main bridge.
The span rests on reinforced concrete piers consisting of battered cylindrical columns in a dumbbell configuration. The approach spans are supported by a series of bents composed of precast concrete piling.
