Pipe deck
This bridge was a pain to walk across. The pipes are just far enough apart that one could step between them and twist an ankle. Note the irregular lengths of the pipes and the occasional couplers or threaded ends.

The little orange marking flags all say Verizon, so I don't think this is the start of a bridge replacement.

Pipe deck
Someone took some kind of welding torch to the pipes to put a bit of roughness on the pipes, possibly to increase traction in the rain. Note the couplers on the ends of many of the pipes.
