Police tape...a reminder of how close this bridge was to being lost. A little over 2 years before this picture was taken the local police chief had the bridge cordoned off and it was assumed that the bridge would collapse before permits for its demolition could be issued.

Added materials to replace the damaged vertical memeber. Notice that the counter brace was not replaced in this panel, giving us a view of the cut into the wood. Also the use of tree nails in the replacement wood helps retain some historic nature.

A very interesting feature of this bridge was its abutments. The bridge rests of multiple rollers, presumably to allow the bridge to shift.
