Carries Former USFS Road over Cispus River
Design: truss/through/howe
Design Details: The planning of the Cispus Valley Bridge illustrates the cooperation between the U.S. Forest Service and local governments that developed during the Great Depression. Construction of the bridge linked three significant participants in local, regional and national history: Lewis County, the Forest Service, and the Civilian Conservation Corps, which provided the labor as part of a Depression-era program to provide work for the jobless. Cispus Valley Bridge may be the longest single-span wooden bridge in the State of Washington (200 feet).

Carries Stevens Canyon Road over Nickel Creek
Design: arch/deck/closed
Design Details: The Box Canyon and Nickel Creek bridges on the Stevens Canyon Road are holdovers or survivors of the rustic style design employed widely as early as 1920. The two stone-faced reinforced concrete spandrel arch structures echo designs employed by the National Park Service in the 1920s and 1930s. The Nickel Creek Bridge was the last of the style constructed at Mount Rainier National Park.
