East Abutment
While the Chester Bridge is long gone, the eastern approach is extant at the end of 1st Street in Chester, West Virginia. It is now the Dr. David S. Pugh Memorial Overlook. (Dr. Pugh was a lifelong resident of Chester and well-respected citizen. He died in 2001.) The west approach, in East Liverpool, Ohio, was obliterated by the construction of the 4-lane US 30 several years ago.
